Footwear - Fit
At ASICS we believe that comfort and performance are inextricably linked. As such we try to build the most comfortable shoes possible in the hope that those wearing them will attain their best performance. Primarily, ASICS ensures a shoe is comfortable by producing footwear that aims to achieve the perfect fit. For this reason, our shoes are designed and built with componentry that allows the shoe to customise itself to the shape of the individual wearer. These technologies are mostly present in the upper of the shoe and aim to limit unwanted in-shoe movement, reduce friction and even out tension across the surface of the foot.

Heel Clutch System
External heel counter to improve fit and comfort while remaining lightweight.

Asymmetrical internal straps to secure foot to platform of shoe, improving fit and stability.

Pocket enabling laces to be tucked in and unexposed.

This Personal Heel Fit moulds and customises itself to the individual heel shape of each wearer.

Zip on the medial side allows for easy access in and out of the shoe.

Upper technology involving flex points over areas of highest buckling to improve fit, reduce loading.

Bunion Window
Soft synthetic area on the medial forefoot, reducing the risk of irritation.

Clutch Collar
A combination of dual layered heel parts on the upper connecting to the shoe laces to improve overall fit.

Discreet Eyelet
As part of biomorphic, a new lacing system that uses independent placed
eyelets. This evens the lacing tension across the foot, creating a customized fit and enhanced upper comfort.

Mono-Sock Fit
Elastic internal sleeve which replaces traditional tongue providing a “sock-like” fit.
