New Zealand Captain and ASICS Ambassador Benji Marshall has capped a fantastic season by securing the prestigious Rugby League Golden Boot Award for 2010.

Having produced a man-of-the-match performance to lead the Kiwis to a memorable Four Nations victory last month, and steering his club side, the Wests Tigers, to the NRL finals in 2010, Marshall beat out nominees from Australia, New Zealand and England to take the award.

"To win this award after coming back from three shoulder reconstructions, winning the Four Nations, and having my best-ever year since I've started in the NRL, is pretty overwhelming,'' said Marshall

"I'm pretty excited. It is something I definitely won't take for granted."

It is the first time Marshal has won the award, and it is a justified and thoroughly deserved reward for a wonderful season, in which Benji put previous injury woes behind him to play in every game for his club side this year.

ASICS congratulates Benji for winning the 2010 Rugby League Golden Boot Award, and wish him all the best and look forward to further success in 2011.
